The following is a list of some plug-ins that I’ve used on various WordPress web sites. Hopefully this list will help me navigate through the zillions of alternatives when I set up additional sites.
Backup
Backs up the WordPress site every day.
Custom Meta Widget
Version of the standard Meta widget with options to hide the admin, entry and comment feeds (for a cleaner home page look).
DSM Custom Functions Plugin
Provides custom functions to change the behavior of WordPress.
Email Users
Allows site editors to send emails to blog users.
Groups
Provides group-based user membership management, group-based capabilities and content access control.
Pie Register
Enhances the registration form to allow a custom logo, password field, invitation codes, email verification, etc.
So far, I’m not really using these features on the BeyondLabels web site.
Simple From Email Change
Changes the default “From” email name/address for emails sent from WordPress.
